  The Geographic Center of the United States is located in a field near Lebanon, Kansas.  Picture made in 1997.
  A thunderstorm approaches the Hi-Lite Drive-in East of Aurora, Illinois in 2002. The theater was demolished in 2005 to make way for townhouses.
  Big Boy restaurants are still found primarily in Michigan and California. The location in Burbank, California, built in 1949 is arguably the best, preserving the original drive-in ambiance.  This picture was made in 1998.

  This building in Sprott, Alabama was photographed by Walker Evans in 1935 and has become an icon of social documentary photography.  Sprott was where the families documented in Evans’ book with James Agee, “Let Us Now Praise Famous Men” lived.
